All along the western coast
the sun is waking up the ocean
caught more fish than I could know
the boys in town are getting lonesome
Peeling skin summer swell
It's shorter in the northern country
the modern man can go to hell
I'll count my swings and fall the pine trees

All but a dream, possibly seems I'm the last one still in hunting
but I held to the end, it's hard to pretend that i'm lucky

Where I go no one knows
tucked up in the shaded mountains
found more coal than gold
It's hard to say it's worth the hike in

the springs dried up, It's getting colder

this year will be a lonely winter

Cob webs only catching dust
deep tucked in the cabin corners
an old blades collecting dust
claiming stakes for aching shoulders
